My First Sales Experience

As my usual experience, holidays are always boring, especially when you have done all the homework. This summer, I don't want to waste my spare time anymore, so I found a part time job, selling backpacks.
This is my first sales experience. I am very shy at first. I don't know how to talk to my customers. I wonder why I become stammered in front of them. Need to know, I am a member of debate team in school. Finishing my first day at work, I was totally upset, not selling any backpack. My mother knew my trouble. She came beside me, saying:"Cheer up, darling! Nothing really bad happens right? You are just fine. And believe me you will be better and better in the future." "But mom, I was like a fool in front of customers. I can't even say a whole meaningful sentence. Oh, it's really not that fine." Mom thought for a moment and said:" You know what darling, what you need is experience body bags. Why not gain experience in the coming bags sale. You should learn what the other sales persons do when they are dealing with customers!" "What a good idea! Thanks mom"
My neighborhood holds a bags sale every 5 months. Every time, there are lots of business people coming together. And you will get real bargains in the sale. On the way to the sale, I was carrying some backpacks in my shoulder. I wanted to learn the selling stunts and to sell backpacks at the same time. I called it a path finding journey in my heart secretly. Once I master the stunts, I find the path. With this in mind I joined the sale confidently.
There are many people all around, quarrelling, talking and laughing. However, I did learn some stunts. As far as I am concerned, the core skill is to smile. Smiling is very useful. You don't need to talk anxiously at first because it will make customers feel not relaxed. But smiles can make buyers comfortable and relaxed and have the patience to listen to your introductions.
So, I smiled to every customers stopping at my booth. Finding my customers relaxed, I become relaxed too and I introduced my backpacks fluently and clearly. To my surprise, I sold all the backpacks I have brought. I think I find the path!
